Remus, Michigan

A warm, family friendly community in south central Michigan, Remus, is home to approximately 2,600 residents (2010 census).

The great state of Michigan is renowned for its 11,000 inland lakes and fishingMecosta County, in which Remus resides, enjoys over 100 lakes and rivers in the area, offering fishing, tubing and camping. Other popular activities include cycling the Rails to Trails bike trails, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Take a drive to view some of the over 100 lighthouses that light Michigan’s lakeshore, the nation’s longest freshwater coastline.

Located near the communities of Mount Pleasant, Big Rapids and just 65 miles northeast of Grand Rapids, Remus is situated at the center of Wheatland Township. Each year near Labor Day, the Wheatland Music Organization’s annual festival is host to a star-studded lineup, a juried art show and activities and workshops for all ages.
